Dear Charlotte, thank you for writing about grief so tenderly and openly. grief has been moving through me recently and it is something I am learning to understand since it takes so many shapes and textures. we need more social spaces to feel grief together, we need a language that talks about death not as an ending but a regeneration and a becoming. thank you.

Like one of the Philips here, I'm raising a glass, in my case Negroamaro, to Mark, having danced consciously all evening, both seriously and foolishly.

Thanks for writing of grief so insightfully.

Bless your kitchen. Who would argue with birds and their reasons, with flowers and their colours?

Must have been late February 2014, my old friend Colin wanted to go to ground in a basket, but they said he was too heavy, so he had to settle for cheap wood. Good funeral though and the tree planted, and tongues given to speak well.

A special read for a host of reasons .
